Part 1 Glass with me, Stevie Davies Thurs 1st Oct 6-8pm

Design and create three fused-glass discs (approx. 9.5cm, 7.5cm & 5.5cm) using a relaxed mosaic-style technique. There will be a gorgeous array of colourful glass pieces, pre-cut shapes, and shimmering dichroic details for you to play with.

I will fire and finish them ready for the wire flower workshop.

To have a Make at Home glass kit instead please email asap! I’ll ask you to choose your colour theme and arrange delivery or collection. Stevie will supply all tools and plenty of glass to play with (safely). Just return all unused materials with your makes by the deadline (the glass workshop date) and your pieces will be fired with the others.

Part 2 Wire Flower Sculpture with the fabulous Anna Roebuck. Sunday 25th October, 10:30am – 5pm

You will create a wire sculpture made up of 3 different flowers on a single shaped stem. The workshop is designed so that each flower you make builds on your skills, with 2 basic petal shaped ones of different sizes and one stylised twist and bead flower. There will be a selection of beautiful coloured wires and an array of beads to create flowers that complement your glass centres. (Or, of course, you could bring along your own special beads to use in your design).

Once your flower shapes are made Anna will guide you on constructing your sculpture and adding your centres.

The workshop is suitable for wirework beginners as well as those with more experience. Some regulars may find they have time to experiment with different petal shapes or are welcome to create an extra basic flower to add to their collection.

If you want to make just the Wire Flower Sculpture with wire centres (no glass) email Stevie to request this and we’ll try to fit you in.

We’re excited to bring you this collaborative workshop, bringing together the skills, design and knowledge of 2 well known Midlands Makers.

My studio ship doesn’t have a purpose built w.c, I managed to get basic facilities put in b, buthey are only hidden behind a curtain…. not ideal but there if needed.   There are a number of independent cafés, restaurants and pubs who would welcome some extra business though.
