I create a range of glass art works and sculptures using the theme of Petrol Rainbows and representing them by manipulating layers of Iridised glass with textural detail. These oil and water reactions are a visual treat, every one is different and I love to stumble across them when out walking. The flip side is that these iridescent rainbows are a form of pollution, petrol/oil being leaked and washed into our waterways. I seek to engage the viewer to contemplate the impact of man on our environment while creating appealing contemporary art for the home or office.
